Jonathan is a worship leader, songwriter, and pianist who believes the worship of God demands the whole person.

As both a pastor and a musician, he has spent years navigating the twin pitfalls of drifting toward mindless emotion on the one hand and dispassionate research on the other. Both extremes are displeasing to God. It is when the mind and heart come together that Christians truly grow.

His songwriting flows from that posture. New arrangements of old hymns sit beside original worship songs and instrumental piano covers, all aimed at the same end: songs that help the church think more clearly and feel more deeply about who God is.

Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Composition from the University of Memphis and a Master of Theological Studies from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He serves as Associate Pastor at Lucy Baptist Church in Millington, Tennessee, where he lives with his wife Becca and their two children.
